INTEGRATED FLY CONTROL PROGRAM With today's modern pest management programs utilizing the use of target specific bait products, means that fewer flying insect pests are being controlled with the general spray programs of yesterday. As a result, there is a growing demand for solutions to this ever increasing problem. Flying insects are major sources of contamination. They live and breed in filthy conditions and are highly mobile, therefore able to spread numerous disease organisms to man and domesticated animals. There is no simple solution to controlling flying insects, but there are many measures which can be implemented to dramatically reduce fly populations in commercial establishments. Arrow Services, Inc. has developed an Integrated Fly Control Program to combat this problem. Details of this program are listed below: INSPECTION The first order of business in designing an effective fly control program is a thorough inspection of the facility. We survey all areas for the presence of flies. We will determine the points of entry that flies may gain access into the facility. We will also seek out breeding areas and look for sanitation conditions that may be conducive to infestations. IDENTIFICATION Upon completion of the inspection, we will properly identify the species of flies and offer a solution for the problem based upon the behavior and habits of the pest. SANITATION Sanitation cannot be overlooked. It is the most important aspect of an effective fly control program. Good sanitation practices and a regimented cleaning schedule will lessen the attraction that flies have for a facility. We will identify sanitation problems, potential breeding areas, and provide constructive feedback as to what action needs to be taken. We will continue to monitor sanitation conditions on a continued basis and issue our "Confidential/Sanitation Report" on a regular schedule. EXCLUSION Flying insects are often attracted to building facilities because of odors, lighting, and warmer temperatures. Keeping flying insects out of the facility is an important step in order to achieve effective fly control. Arrow will inspect your facility and assist in determining what improvements can be made to keep insects out. We will inspect all windows and doors to make sure that they are working properly and are tight fitting. In the event that structural changes need to be made, Arrow will assist in making these necessary changes. Once the sanitation and exclusion problems have been addressed, the next order of business is to eliminate the flying insects inside the facility. Arrow will install these units and maintain them on our 12 month full service lease program. The regular monthly maintenance will include emptying catch traps, cleaning the unit, replacement of glueboards, and changing the UV light bulbs on an annual schedule.
